I miss the babies!

On Saturday we planned a kid swap. Christie and Marc took Walter and Lucy to Dave & Busters, while Matt and I hung out in the bat cave with the twins. Quinn would not take is bottle, I think his stomach was upset...so, he was slightly cranky the whole night..He must've been either hungry or just a little uncomfortable..but he was still fine, really and still very quick to flash me the cutest grin. He really lights up when he smiles, and again, it reminds me so much of Walter.

I didn't want to write about this until it was over, because some things just aren't that funny until they are totally over, which I'm convinced this matter is...Last week I went over to see the babies, I had to be fast becasue I only had a few min. before Walter had to be at basketball practice. Aubrey was in her swing, and when I walked over she looked right at me and smiled a big smile..letting me know she knew who I was..I turned off the swing and put my arms out to pick her up, and she made a total panic face and started just screaming. It was terrible, I don't know what I did to scare her, but she was terrified. The worst part was I really couldn't stay long enough for her to get over it...so the whole rest of the week I felt really bad about it. On Saturday, I got there right when they were due to eat..so I bravely grabbed Aubrey and started to talk very softly to her, she screamed as soon as she saw me. Not a good start. But, I was thinking.."it is not ok to be scared of Aunt Carrie, so we just have to keep going"..so we did, with fits of crying for about 10 min..then she looked at me..and no tears, a few more seconds..she looked at me and smiled..AHHHH..she does love me...., but she really made me sweat it out. The rest of the night she was fine. I admire Chrisite for letting me go through this with Aubrey, it is hard to leave your baby with someone they are clearly scared of. ..(even if it is for no good reason.) But, Christie let Aubrey and I work it out, and now we are BFF.
No pictures of the night though, sorry, I forgot my camera. I did also get to see Aubrey roll, which was AWESOME. She is a controtionist. Now it has been a few days and I really miss them. I need a baby fix.
